Top Tips for Caring for Your Epoch Batteries in Cold Weather!

We receive many questions regarding how to prepare your batteries for storage and cold winters so wanted to share some tips for winterization of your Epoch batteries:

  • Charge the Battery: Charge the battery to a partial level, aiming for 50-80%.
  • Disconnect All Loads: Ensure that any connected devices or loads are disconnected.
  • Power Off the Battery: For models equipped with a power button, turn off the battery to conserve power during storage.
  • Store in Ideal Conditions: Place the battery in a cool, dry location with an ambient temperature between 32-77°F for optimal preservation.
  • Monthly Voltage Check: Once per month, check the battery’s voltage and recharge as necessary to maintain a healthy charge level.
  • Fully Recharge After Storage: When you’re ready to bring the battery out of storage, fully recharge it to 100% to re-calibrate the system and ensure maximum performance.

Following these steps will help maintain the longevity and performance of your Epoch batteries during the off-season.

STORAGE - MINIMUM TEMPERATURES

For up to 1 month storage, the batteries can be kept in temperatures as low as -20°C/-4°F.

For storage longer than 1 month, the recommended minimum temperature is 0°C/32°F
