The switch only disconnects conductors wired through it. Direct-to-battery safety loads, chargers, or other bypass circuits remain energized, so the complete wiring diagram should be reviewed before treating it as the system's master disconnect.
Turn the knob to OFF to isolate the selected circuit, then rotate it to the Remove position and take the knob with you. This helps prevent accidental re-energization during maintenance and discourages unauthorized operation while the system is unattended.
