When a battery compartment is full but the day still calls for more power, the right upgrade has to do more than fit the tray. Epoch's Featured Best Sellers bring substantial LiFePO4 capacity, built-in protection and useful battery data to RVs, boats and off-grid power systems.
The Epoch Featured Best Sellers collection includes five deep-cycle batteries across 12V, 24V and 48V systems. Every model shown has Bluetooth monitoring, internal heating and an 11-year manufacturer warranty. The choices range from a 3.84kWh 12V Essential in a Group 31 case to Elite models with up to 5.89kWh in a Group 8D footprint. Select by voltage, loads and charging equipment; these are house and energy-storage batteries, not a blanket replacement for an engine starting battery.
Space planning means checking hatch openings, tray dimensions, case height, terminal reach, cable bends and ventilation requirements of surrounding equipment. A Group 31 or Group 8D footprint helps narrow the physical choices, but an identical tray size does not settle charger settings, fuse size or current demand. Compare kilowatt-hours for stored energy and the battery's electrical ratings for the loads it must actually run.
These models share LiFePO4 chemistry, a protective battery management system and Bluetooth visibility. The meaningful differences are system voltage, capacity, case size and communication or protection features. Choose the one that fits your electrical architecture rather than selecting by amp-hours alone.
| Epoch battery | Stored energy and case | Best fit and distinguishing features |
|---|---|---|
| 12V 300Ah Essential | 3.84kWh; 58 lb; Group 31; IP54. | Compact 12V house and auxiliary storage; Bluetooth and heating; no native Victron communication. |
| 12V 460Ah V2 Elite | 5.89kWh; 97 lb; Group 8D; IP67. | Large 12V house and inverter banks; Bluetooth, heating and Victron GX communication. |
| 12V 460Ah V2-T Elite | 5.89kWh; 97 lb; Group 8D; IP67. | Similar 12V storage with an integrated, serviceable Class T source fuse. |
| 24V 230Ah V2-T Elite | 5.89kWh; 97 lb; Group 8D; IP67. | Designed for compatible 24V house and storage systems; Victron communication and Class T fuse. |
| 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite | 5.12kWh; 97 lb; Group 8D; IP67. | Designed for compatible 48V inverter and storage systems; Victron communication and Class T fuse. |
The Essential suits a smaller tray; a 12V Elite can serve a larger house bank with fewer parallel connections. V2-T models add an internal Class T fuse at the source; they still need appropriate disconnects, conductors and downstream protection.
A travel trailer running lights, a compressor refrigerator and devices overnight needs predictable 12V reserve. A cruising boat may add pumps and navigation electronics, while a camper van may have a compact battery bay and a solar controller. The Group 31 Essential is a strong starting point where tray space is tight and the load calculation supports 3.84kWh. For a larger inverter, longer stays or a higher daily energy budget, the 12V Elite models put 5.89kWh in a single managed case.
Size from real consumption: add each load's watt-hours, include inverter losses and keep a reserve for essential equipment. A kilowatt-hour rating does not promise a fixed runtime; appliance duty cycle and charging opportunities change the result. Keep the engine starting circuit separate unless the exact battery is approved for that duty.
For a system already designed around 24V, the 24V 230Ah V2-T Elite offers 5.89kWh without assembling a series string of lower-voltage batteries. The 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite provides 5.12kWh for a properly matched 48V inverter, solar or house system. Higher voltage can reduce current for a given power level, but every inverter, charge source, disconnect and DC load must suit that voltage. Use conversion equipment for lower-voltage circuits where needed.
Both higher-voltage options are deep-cycle storage batteries. They are not drop-in replacements for a 12V lead-acid starter or a golf cart pack merely because a battery bay has room. Confirm continuous output and surge requirements on the current product sheet, especially for larger inverters, motors and pumps.
Every battery in this collection can report state of charge and available battery data to a compatible phone over Bluetooth. Check the app before leaving shore power or switching on a large inverter load. Watching current, voltage and temperature can reveal a charging mismatch sooner than a simple voltage display. Bluetooth requires a nearby device; it does not by itself create remote internet monitoring.
Elite models also support communication with compatible Victron GX systems when installed with the specified cabling and settings. This is useful in a more complex boat, RV or off-grid build where an inverter and chargers need battery information in one system view. The 12V Essential has Bluetooth but no native Victron communication. The Essential also uses a security PIN for its mobile app; save the code from the battery before installation makes the top label hard to reach.
Reliability comes from matching the whole system to the battery. Each featured model has a BMS to guard against conditions such as overcurrent and unsuitable temperatures, and internal heating supports charging in cold conditions when charge power is available. A BMS cutoff can still interrupt connected loads if limits are exceeded. Build in the appropriate reserve, fusing, cable sizing and monitoring for critical circuits. IP54 on the Essential and IP67 on the Elite cases describe enclosure protection, not waterproof external wiring.
Do not directly mix lead-acid and lithium batteries in one bank. In a multi-battery lithium bank, follow Epoch's model-matching and wiring instructions. An installer can help check a high-current inverter, alternator strategy or marine installation. The advantage of more energy in less space is most valuable when the charger, load protection and monitoring are designed to use it safely.
Epoch's Featured Best Sellers give 12V, 24V and 48V system builders a practical route beyond bulky lead-acid storage: more routinely usable energy for a limited compartment, less routine battery maintenance and Bluetooth visibility on every listed model. The Group 31 Essential fits compact 12V house banks; Elite batteries support larger, more connected storage systems. Choose the voltage and capacity your loads require, then build the charging and protection around the exact battery.

Na
So far working well. Ran my 12v fridge and heater all night and only used 5% of battery.
More than what I expected
The essential 460 amp hour batteries delivers more power than any other battery I’ve ever used. They have so much technology in the Batterie’s that the customers can view, all the information what’s going on inside of the batterie’s. It is mind blowing. I would recommend these batteries to everyone.
Amazing!! I Love it!!
This battery has far exceeded all of my expectations. I’m an off grid outdoorsman, this battery is powering my 27’ camp trailer. The technology here is a game changer. Absolutely NO comparison. I had to modify the rack/tray (as pointed out by sales rep) to accommodate the larger footprint of the battery (it is larger in all 3 dimensions LWH). 11 yr warranty! It’s a no brainer! First trip out 5 days. Lights, showers, pumped 35+ gallons water, phone chargers etc. still sitting at 13.4 volts. Same as when we started. (Did not need to run heat/AC). My old batteries would have been toast.
Excellent batteries
Two 12v 300ah Essential Series batteries connected parallel. Upgraded solar charger and distribution. Add cut-off switches, fuses and heavier cables to handle lithium. So happy that I completed this upgrade. Real test will come when I install a Victron 3000w 2x120 inverter. So far an easy and clean installation. Highly recommend EPOCH. Love the app to keep an eye on battery conditions. Photos later
Its a Hoss
Replace my two 105ah batteries in my RV with this one 300ah Epoch battery. It's like the energizer bunny, it just keeps on going. I'm extremely pleased with it's performance.
Well worth the investment
Gamechanger! I have 500 watts of solar and stayed out 6 nights without using my generator for the 1st time. This battery never fell below 40% and recharged quicker than my 2 x 100ah Battleborn setup.
