A new battery is an opportunity to rethink how much useful power fits in the space you already have. A crowded RV battery bay, a boat's house compartment or a van's interior cabinet can all limit the number of heavy lead-acid blocks you can carry. Epoch's New Products offer large LiFePO4 capacities, built-in battery management and phone-based monitoring in configurations made for different 12V and 24V systems.
The Epoch New Products collection currently highlights four deep-cycle models: two 12V 334Ah batteries with 4.28kWh each and two 24V 230Ah batteries with 5.89kWh each. All four include Bluetooth and internal heating. Their enclosures, communication features and intended installation locations differ, so the best choice starts with your voltage, loads and available space. These batteries are for house or energy-storage duty; do not assume an engine-starting role without a specifically approved cranking model.
More power for the space is about usable energy and sound system design, not just an amp-hour number. Measure the tray, hatch opening, terminal clearance and cable route. Then compare kilowatt-hours for energy and the exact battery's continuous and short-term output with your inverter or DC loads. A battery that fits physically still needs a compatible charging profile and proper protection.
The new options share LiFePO4 chemistry, a protective BMS, Bluetooth access and self-heating, but they solve different installation problems. The standard 12V Essential favors a familiar Group 31 tray; the MC version offers additional communication in a dry interior; the two 24V choices serve systems designed for that higher voltage.
| Epoch battery | Energy and case | Where it fits best |
|---|---|---|
| 12V 334Ah Essential | 4.28kWh; 60 lb; Group 31; IP54. | Compact 12V RV or protected marine house bank; Bluetooth and heating; no native Victron communication. |
| 12V 334Ah MC Essential | 4.28kWh; 75 lb; IP21. | Dry, protected RV or van interior; Bluetooth, heating and compatible Victron communication. |
| 24V 230Ah Essential | 5.89kWh; 84 lb; Group 8D; IP54. | Compatible 24V house, solar or trolling setup; Bluetooth and heating without native Victron communication. |
| 24V 230Ah V2-T Elite | 5.89kWh; 97 lb; Group 8D; IP67. | More integrated 24V storage, with Victron communication and a serviceable Class T source fuse. |
The MC and standard 12V Essential store the same energy, but their output, communication features, size and environmental protection differ. Likewise, the two 24V models share a nominal energy figure without being interchangeable in every installation. Check the current model sheet for load current, charging settings and clearances before treating any one case as a drop-in electrical match.
A trailer or camper van may run a compressor fridge around the clock, then add lights, water pumps and charging devices at night. The 12V 334Ah Essential provides substantial deep-cycle storage in a Group 31 footprint for a suitable battery tray. Its IP54 enclosure belongs in a protected location, including an appropriate boat house-battery compartment where splashes are possible but the case is not submerged.
For a van with a dry under-bed or cabinet installation and a demanding inverter plan, the 12V 334Ah MC Essential adds compatible Victron communication and a higher published output rating. Its IP21 case is intended for protected interior placement. Do not mount it on an exposed trailer tongue, in a wet exterior compartment or anywhere that can be sprayed. Match the inverter's normal and startup draw, cabling and fuse plan to the exact model.
A 24V boat house circuit, larger RV inverter or off-grid solar system needs a battery built for its system voltage. The 24V 230Ah Essential provides 5.89kWh in a Group 8D footprint with Bluetooth visibility and a splash-resistant IP54 enclosure. It can also serve a compatible 24V trolling circuit after checking motor current and the charging arrangement. One native 24V case may simplify an older series-connected lead-acid bank.
The 24V 230Ah V2-T Elite keeps the 5.89kWh energy target while adding a sealed IP67 case, Victron communication and an integrated, serviceable Class T fuse. These features suit a more involved house or solar system, but the internal fuse is only one part of the electrical protection plan. Install the correct disconnects, downstream fuses and appropriately sized conductors for the complete system.
Each of these new models can report battery status through a compatible Epoch phone app over Bluetooth. Before leaving a campground, starting a long fishing day or switching to overnight solar reserve, check state of charge and available voltage, current and temperature readings. Trends in charging and load use help you plan rather than relying on a rough voltage estimate. Bluetooth is a local wireless link; remote viewing requires separate compatible connected equipment.
The MC Essential and V2-T Elite have communication features for suitable Victron-based systems, whereas the standard 12V and 24V Essential models do not list native Victron communication. Verify the correct harness, settings and GX equipment if you need that integration. A phone screen is useful for a quick check, but monitor essential loads and alarms through a system designed for their importance.
LiFePO4 avoids flooded-cell watering and acid cleanup. The built-in BMS helps protect against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and unsuitable temperatures; internal heating can warm cells before charging in cold conditions when charge power is available. No battery eliminates the need for a correctly sized charger, wiring and reserve. A BMS cutoff can interrupt loads, so keep critical equipment on a thoughtfully planned circuit.
Do not directly combine lead-acid and lithium batteries in the same bank. If the design uses multiple Epoch batteries, follow the specified series or parallel limits and matching instructions for that model. A marine or RV installer can help with high-current inverter wiring, engine-fed charging or a complex multi-bank system.
Epoch's New Products give lead-acid users fresh ways to get more routinely usable energy into the available compartment, with less upkeep, steadier voltage and Bluetooth on every featured model. The right choice depends on 12V versus 24V architecture, a dry or splash-prone location, the energy budget and whether Victron communication or integrated Class T source protection belongs in the design.

Our core line of LiFePO4 batteries for marine, RV, golf cart and off-grid power.
Our flagship line: the most connected, highest-output batteries we build.
Epoch’s newest LiFePO4 batteries place substantial energy into space-efficient configurations for RVs, camper vans, boats, and off-grid systems. The 12V 334Ah models store 4.28kWh, while the 24V 230Ah models provide 5.89kWh. This capacity can reduce the number of battery cases and interconnections required while delivering steadier voltage and eliminating flooded-cell maintenance.
All four batteries include Bluetooth monitoring, internal heating, and an integrated BMS. The standard Essential models emphasize practical capacity, while the 12V MC Essential adds Victron communication for dry interior installations. The rugged 24V V2-T Elite combines an IP67 enclosure, compatible Victron communication, and a serviceable Class T source fuse for more advanced, integrated systems.
Epoch offers distinct solutions for 12V and 24V systems, protected interiors, splash-prone compartments, and connected power installations. This combination of energy density, monitoring, cold-weather support, and model-specific protection makes Epoch the best all-around solution for a properly designed deep-cycle system. Buyers should match voltage, output, enclosure rating, charger settings, wiring, fusing, and physical fit to the installation rather than treating every model as interchangeable.

Big power, small package
We have a Winnebago View with 2 new batteries in the battery box under the step Very nice!!!!
Great Single Battery
I haven't been out camping with my new 334Ah battery yet so I can only say that it's great just having to deal with one battery. This battery replaced two previous 100Ah batteries and was very easy to install into my factory Airstream battery box. The app seems to do a good job of providing data on the status of the battery including info on each cell. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
Quality and performance!
Quality construction and great performance. I'll be back for more.
Owner
Bought battery because I have (2) 460 batteries in my RV, great product, has worked perfectly for two years.
Great product
Amazing product at an even better price!!!!!! Works great for our needs and the quality behind the name is unmatched.
