About these guides

A battery is only as good as the system around it. This section is about turning a power requirement into a design: working out the daily energy you use, converting between watt-hours and amp-hours, choosing between a larger 12V bank and a 24V or 48V system, and deciding how many batteries that takes with a sensible margin.

The wiring guides explain series and parallel connections and what each does to voltage and capacity, the model-specific limits on how many Epoch batteries can be connected together, why batteries in series need to be balanced before they are joined and how a poor cable layout can make identical batteries share current unevenly. Cable gauge, fusing, bus bars and disconnects get the same practical treatment, because the protective parts of a system are the ones most often left out.

Read these before you order cables or a second battery. A bank designed on paper first is cheaper to build, easier to expand and far less likely to trip the management system in use.
