An electric E-Z-GO RXV can move from an early tee time to afternoon neighborhood trips without missing a beat. An aging lead-acid battery bank makes that routine less convenient: water checks, corrosion, a heavy battery tub and uncertainty about how much charge remains. For a compatible 48V lead-acid RXV, an Epoch lithium battery kit offers a cleaner way to keep the cart ready for its next outing.
Epoch's complete LiFePO4 kit replaces the old series-connected bank with one battery and brings the key conversion parts together: a lithium charger, battery gauge and converter for 12V accessories. Bluetooth monitoring helps you see battery status before leaving home or the cart barn. RXV-specific mounting and charging-port accessories can give a properly matched installation a tidy, factory-style finish.
The Epoch RXV collection lists two 48V 105Ah kits with different case shapes. This page is for electric RXV carts currently using 48V lead-acid batteries. RXV gas and factory ELiTE lithium vehicles have different power systems and should be assessed separately before any battery work.
Both RXV collection kits include a battery management system, IP67-rated battery enclosure and Bluetooth monitoring, with an 11-year manufacturer warranty. These features make Epoch a strong solution for owners who want fewer maintenance tasks and a battery they can check at a glance. The IP67 rating applies to the battery enclosure, not the charger, port or exposed wiring.
These two kits have the same published energy and output: 5.38kWh and 200A maximum continuous discharge. Choosing between them is chiefly a question of case shape and the hardware that fits the particular RXV battery tub. Both list a 48V 15A lithium charger, gauge, 12V converter and mounting hardware, so neither requires piecing together the main electrical components from scratch.
| 48V kit | Published battery size | RXV fitment choice |
|---|---|---|
| 105Ah standard complete kit | 18.1 × 13.4 × 9.8 in; 5.38kWh; 200A continuous. | Includes an EZGO RXV product configuration; confirm tray dimensions and supplied RXV bracket. |
| 105Ah Mini complete kit | 15.8 × 11.1 × 10.9 in; the same 5.38kWh and 200A. | Shorter and narrower, but taller; selector lists Club Car DS or Other, so verify RXV mount separately. |
The Mini is useful only if its particular shape and a suitable mounting arrangement solve a real clearance problem. A lower overall footprint does not guarantee enough room above the terminals or beneath the seat. For either battery, measure the compartment and choose capacity based on actual trips, terrain and use; a published energy figure alone cannot promise a fixed number of miles.
Removing a multi-battery lead-acid bank leaves extra open space in an RXV battery tub. Epoch offers an RXV-specific Big Box mounting bracket for compatible BB51105-style batteries, intended to provide a secure, factory-style hold-down without improvised blocks or loose straps. Choose the kit's RXV configuration and confirm whether this exact bracket and its fasteners are already included, or must be obtained separately. Its listed fit should be checked against the actual model year, tray and battery case.
Allow room for main cables, battery terminals, gauge harness, charger leads and service access. A lighter pack must still be restrained against movement over rough paths. If the RXV has been lifted or modified, verify controller demand and cable sizing against the chosen battery's continuous and peak ratings before treating the replacement as drop-in.
The original lead-acid charger should not be assumed to have the correct lithium charge profile. Use the supplied matched charger. Epoch sells an EZGO TXT & RXV charger receptacle plug that can provide exterior AC access to a compatible onboard lithium charger in the former lead-acid charge-port area. It is an AC inlet, not the charger or a direct battery connection; check the opening, charger compatibility and whether the part comes with the selected kit.
RXV braking and speed-control systems can return energy to the battery. Epoch publishes a peak regenerative charge rating of 300A for 15 seconds on these 105Ah packs, but the installed controller's behavior, long descents and conditions near a full charge still need review. Confirm regeneration, charger interlocks and braking operation for the specific RXV. Any 12V lights, horn, radio or USB outlets should be checked against the included converter's output.
With the correct 48V lead-acid RXV, battery case and RXV mounting hardware, an Epoch complete kit can replace the old bank with a single LiFePO4 pack and a coordinated charging setup. For a daily driver, that means no water to top off, fewer inter-battery cables to inspect and a useful gauge for planning the next trip. The purpose-built bracket and optional exterior inlet can make the finished battery bay and charging point feel like they belong on the cart.
Exact fit still depends on the cart's year, tray, controller, battery cables and charging controls. The standard 105Ah has an RXV choice at checkout; the Mini's Other choice needs separate verification. Do not assume a battery swap changes the RXV's top speed, rated load or braking design. A successful conversion keeps the cart's safety systems functioning and matches the battery to its real electrical requirements.
Avoid mixing the Epoch battery with remaining lead-acid units or reusing an unverified charger. If braking controls, charging wires or prior modifications are unfamiliar, have a qualified golf cart installer verify the final configuration.
Epoch's complete RXV kits combine lithium power, clear battery monitoring and an easier maintenance routine. The best solution is the one that fits and mounts securely, charges correctly and supports the RXV's controller and regenerative demands. Start with the cart you own, then choose the case and configuration that make the conversion straightforward.

For a compatible electric E-Z-GO RXV with a 48V lead-acid bank, one Epoch 105Ah LiFePO4 battery can replace multiple batteries, jumpers and terminals. The conversion eliminates watering and acid-level checks while providing steadier usable voltage for more consistent performance during golf rounds and neighborhood trips.
Epoch’s complete kit combines the 5.38kWh battery with a matched 48V 15A charger, dashboard gauge, Bluetooth monitoring, 12V converter and mounting hardware. Built-in BMS protection, a 200A continuous-discharge rating, an IP67-rated battery enclosure and an 11-year manufacturer warranty create a coordinated system with clear charge information and long-term confidence.
The standard 105Ah kit offers an RXV configuration and a pathway to secure RXV-specific mounting, making it the strongest starting point for a drop-in-style conversion; the 105Ah Mini provides the same energy and output in a different case shape when separately verified. Once tray dimensions, controller demand, charging and regenerative braking are confirmed, Epoch’s complete design makes it the best all-around solution for a properly matched 48V lead-acid RXV.
