The MK3-USB has a female RJ45 VE.Bus port and an attached USB-A computer lead. A separate straight-through RJ45 UTP cable is required between the MK3-USB and the VE.Bus port on the inverter or inverter/charger unless a retailer bundle specifically states that the cable is included.
Direct MK3-USB use is supported with compatible Android devices that provide USB On-The-Go functionality, using a separately purchased OTG adapter. Apple iPhone and iPad devices do not support the required USB-OTG connection, so they cannot connect directly to the MK3-USB.
