Dual Output: The “1+1” Advantage
Charge the house bank and maintain the starter battery from one AC source.
The primary output delivers up to 50A of multi-stage charging power to a substantial 12V house bank. The secondary “+1” output is limited to 4A maximum and operates at a slightly lower output voltage, making it ideal for maintaining or topping up a separate starter battery.
This design reduces charger count and wiring complexity in boats, motorhomes, commercial vehicles, and off-grid systems that use separate house and starting batteries.
Main 50A Output for House Batteries
The main output rapidly replenishes a 12V house bank after extended anchoring, boondocking, or off-grid use. Low-current mode reduces the output to 25A when a lower charge rate is preferred.
Secondary 4A Starter-Battery Output
The limited starter output keeps an engine-starting or generator battery topped up while the primary channel handles the house bank. It is a maintenance output, not a second full-current 50A charger.
Intelligent, Programmable Lithium Charging
Configure the charger for Epoch LiFePO4, AGM, GEL, flooded lead-acid, or other approved 12V batteries.
Victron’s adaptive charging system provides selectable normal, high, and lithium modes. Lead-acid profiles use an adaptive six-stage algorithm, while the built-in lithium profile uses a dedicated three-stage process. The charge algorithm is also fully programmable through Bluetooth or VE.Direct, allowing the installation to match the exact voltage and current limits published by the battery manufacturer.
The lithium preset uses 14.2V absorption, no conventional float stage, and 13.5V storage. For an Epoch battery bank, confirm and enter the charging values for the exact battery model before commissioning.

Can the secondary output charge a completely discharged starter battery?
The secondary output is limited to 4A maximum and is intended primarily for starter-battery maintenance and top-up charging. Recovery time for a deeply discharged starter battery can be long, and the battery must be compatible with the selected charging profile.
Can I monitor the charger remotely?

Does this charger also function as an inverter?
