Power Heavy Loads with a 250A Smart BMS
Built for 3000W inverter-class systems, RV appliances, solar storage, and off-grid power.
This high-capacity 12V deep cycle battery includes a robust 250A continuous BMS, allowing one battery to support demanding 12V loads when the inverter, cabling, fusing, and low-voltage settings are properly sized. At 12.8V × 250A, the battery can supply roughly 3,200W before inverter efficiency losses, making it a strong fit for many 3000W inverter systems.
The 750A peak discharge rating for 5 seconds helps handle short surge loads from equipment such as microwaves, induction cooktops, compressors, and other off-grid appliances. This model is a deep-cycle battery and should not be used for engine starting unless Epoch confirms compatibility.
Massive Scalability: Series and Parallel Expansion
Build a 12V off-grid battery bank or scale to 24V, 36V, or 48V systems.
The Epoch 12V 314Ah Eco Series supports up to four batteries in series for higher-voltage system designs and up to sixteen batteries in parallel for massive 12V capacity expansion. A full 16-battery parallel bank provides up to 5,024Ah and 64.32kWh of stored energy.
For any large off-grid battery bank, use matched batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge. Balanced wiring, proper busbars, fusing, disconnects, inverter settings, and LiFePO4-compatible charging equipment are required.

IP54 weatherproof protection
Dust protected. Splash resistant. Built for protected mobile and off-grid installations.
The IP54 enclosure is suitable for many protected RV, marine, cabin, and outdoor equipment locations. It should not be submerged, pressure washed, or installed in an exposed location where standing water can collect around the battery.
Charging and bank design note
Program your equipment for LiFePO4 and protect every string.
Use LiFePO4-compatible chargers, inverter/chargers, DC-to-DC chargers, and solar controllers. Disable equalization and temperature compensation, install appropriate fuses or circuit breakers, and verify cable ampacity, voltage drop, tray clearance, and environmental limits before final installation.
Frequently asked questions
Epoch 12V 314Ah Eco Series FAQs
Common questions about inverter sizing, Eco Series features, cold-weather protection, waterproofing, and expansion.
What is the difference between the Eco Series and the Epoch Essentials/Pro Series?
The Eco Series is designed to deliver maximum capacity and power at the most competitive price point. It does not include Bluetooth monitoring or internal heating pads, and it uses an IP54 weather-resistant enclosure with a 6-year warranty. Essentials and Pro models add more premium features such as Bluetooth, active heating, higher IP ratings, or longer warranty coverage depending on model. If you want raw, reliable power and massive capacity on a budget, the Eco Series is the value-focused choice.
What size inverter can this 12V 314Ah battery run?
The 250A continuous BMS allows the battery to continuously output roughly 3,200 watts at 12.8V before inverter efficiency losses. That makes it a strong match for many 3000W inverter systems when the cables, fusing, inverter settings, and installation are sized correctly. The 750A peak discharge rating for 5 seconds also helps with short surge loads.
Can I connect these 314Ah batteries in series or parallel?
Yes. The Epoch 12V 314Ah Eco Series supports up to 4 batteries in series for 24V, 36V, or 48V systems, and up to 16 batteries in parallel for expanded 12V capacity. Use batteries of the same model, age, capacity, and state of charge, with matched cabling, proper fusing, and compatible charging equipment.
Does this battery have cold-weather protection?
Yes. The Eco Series does not include active internal heating pads, but it does include low-temperature charge protection. If cell temperature is below the safe charge range, the BMS blocks incoming charge current to help protect the LiFePO4 cells. The battery can still discharge down to -20°C / -4°F within the published discharge range.
Is the Eco Series battery waterproof?
The 12V 314Ah Eco Series has an IP54-rated weather-resistant enclosure. It is protected against dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for RV compartments, battery boxes, off-grid cabins, and protected marine spaces. It is not fully submersible and should not be installed where standing water can collect around the battery.
How much does this battery weigh compared to lead-acid?
The Epoch 12V 314Ah battery weighs 57 lb. Comparable lead-acid or AGM banks with similar practical usable energy can weigh far more and take up significantly more space, especially because lead-acid batteries are commonly limited to about 50% usable depth of discharge. The exact weight savings depends on the lead-acid bank being replaced.
Does the 314Ah Eco Series include Bluetooth or internal heating?
No. This Eco Series model is built for simplified, high-capacity value. It does not include Bluetooth monitoring or internal self-heating. Use an external battery monitor, such as a shunt-based monitor, if your system needs app-based visibility.
What charger settings should I use?
Use a LiFePO4-compatible charger, converter, inverter charger, solar charge controller, or DC-to-DC charger. Recommended settings include 14.2V–14.4V bulk/absorption, float disabled preferred or 13.3V–13.6V, 13.2V re-bulk, equalization disabled, and temperature compensation disabled.

Great battery!
Took a pair of these out for their first big outing. Ran my ARB freezer for over a week without a charge. I think it still had half its capacity, but I won't know for sure until I get my Bluetooth monitor hooked up for the next trip. The other battery ran a charging station and starlink without a hitch. Terrific upgrade from a lead acid deep cycle.
Extra run time
I upgraded my audio system on my boat from 1 amp to 4 amps and now have a 2500w JL system. I wanted to be able to spend the day at the sand bar or spend the day with the trolling motor on fishing and be able to push some serious audio along with the other systems without issue. I swapped out my two house 92ah AGMs for two 314ah Epochs. It was a solid…
Power to spare
I replaced two Group 31 flooded batteries with two *****-ECO batteries. Once charged and voltages matched I paralleled them and have increased my useable Amp hour capacity by 6X. The reduced engine/alternator charging in my case is well worth the effort to make all the critical changes to my electriocal system enabling the use of LiFePo4 batteries.
