A lifted golf cart can look ready for anything, but its battery still has to support the actual build. Larger tires, more passengers, steeper routes and an upgraded motor or controller can change how much energy and current the cart needs. A tired lead-acid bank may feel especially weak late in a long ride or on a hill. The right Epoch LiFePO4 kit offers a cleaner way to power a compatible lifted cart.
Epoch's complete lithium conversion kits can replace several lead-acid batteries with one pack, along with a matched charger, battery gauge and 12V accessory converter. That removes the watering routine, reduces battery-to-battery cables and gives the driver a useful charge reading. Choose the pack around the cart's voltage, tray and controller instead of assuming a lift kit alone calls for the largest battery.
The Epoch lifted golf cart collection includes four 48V complete kits in different sizes or capacities and one 72V-class kit. They offer paths for compatible neighborhood cruisers, off-road carts and more demanding builds. A good drop-in-style replacement starts with the original electrical system and the modifications already installed.
Each battery shown in the lifted collection lists a built-in BMS, IP67 battery enclosure and an 11-year limited warranty. Install and protect the whole electrical system correctly; the battery's enclosure rating does not make the cart, connectors or charger waterproof.
A larger amp-hour rating supplies more potential runtime. It does not automatically meet a high-current controller's demands or overcome the effect of oversized tires. Compare the cart's original voltage, measured battery area and motor setup with the current options before buying.
| Epoch option | Where it may fit | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| 48V 105Ah complete kit | A compatible 48V cart with a moderate lift and controller demand within its 200A continuous rating. | Cart configuration, tire size, route, current draw and tray dimensions. |
| 48V 105Ah Mini complete kit | The same listed energy and output in a different case shape; Epoch recommends it for a compatible Club Car DS. | DS voltage, bay clearance, mounting and any original charger controls. |
| 48V 150Ah complete kit | More energy and 300A continuous output for a compatible 48V build with longer or hillier trips. | Larger case, offered fitment option and controller settings. |
| 48V 230Ah complete kit | The largest listed 48V reserve with 300A continuous output for extensive use. | Battery bay, weight, bracket plan and whether that capacity is needed. |
| 72V-class 105Ah complete kit | A high-voltage option for a lifted cart already built around a compatible 72V-class drivetrain. | Motor, controller, solenoid, wiring, fuses, tray and 72V charging. |
A cart with a mild lift on level pavement has a different duty cycle from one with large off-road tires crossing soft ground or carrying passengers up grades. Bigger tires can alter the load the motor and controller place on the battery. Consider both the longest outing and the hardest stretch, then check the battery's stored energy and continuous or peak current limits separately. For heavily modified carts, verify the controller settings rather than relying on an amp-hour figure alone.
Headlights, light bars, USB outlets or a stereo may need a properly sized 12V supply from a 48V or 72V traction system. The complete kits include a converter; confirm its output covers the accessories and route those circuits correctly. The lithium charger supplied with the kit is matched to its battery, but actual recharge time depends on charger output, battery capacity and starting charge. A gauge or Bluetooth check before another trip helps keep plans realistic.
Range depends on lift height, tire size, controller tune, terrain, passengers, speed and temperature. A lithium conversion can reduce battery weight and maintenance, but it does not guarantee a higher top speed or change the cart's rated seating or cargo capacity. Keep normal steering, suspension and brake checks in the maintenance routine.
Epoch's complete kits make a compatible lead-acid conversion easier by bringing together one LiFePO4 battery, lithium charger, gauge and accessory converter. Selected cart configurations also include mounting brackets. The battery is designed to take the place of the original bank within the battery area when the chosen model fits. The result is a cleaner layout with fewer jumpers and no flooded-battery watering.
“Drop-in” does not mean every lifted cart uses the same bracket, cable or charger-port connection. Record the make, model, year and operating voltage. Measure length, width and height in the tray; account for a relocation, aftermarket motor, larger controller or custom wiring. Check the controller's continuous and peak draw and any regenerative braking against the chosen battery's limits. Some older Club Car charging systems also require additional work. Follow the cart and Epoch manuals for the exact combination.
Do not mix the new lithium pack with the old lead-acid batteries in one bank or assume the original lead-acid charger has the correct profile. A good drop-in-style upgrade is the result of a matched battery, cart, charger and installation.
Epoch's LiFePO4 complete kits give a compatible lifted golf cart a cleaner alternative to aging lead-acid power, with capacities and output ratings for different builds. Choose around the actual controller and driving route, not the lift height alone, then complete the wiring and fitment checks before the next ride.
