Traditional 48-volt power banks often rely on four 12V, six 8V or eight 6V lead-acid batteries connected in series. That arrangement fills the battery tray with heavy cases, jumper cables and corrosion-prone terminals while adding routine watering and cleanup to ownership. A common six-battery golf cart bank can weigh well over 350 pounds before hold-downs and cabling are counted.
Epoch 48V lithium batteries replace that complexity with native 51.2V LiFePO4 power. A correctly sized 48V LiFePO4 battery can reduce weight, provide more usable deep-cycle energy and maintain steadier voltage under load. The collection supports applications ranging from golf carts and electric marine propulsion to RV, skoolie, solar, backup and high-power inverter systems.
Current options include a modular 30Ah GC2 battery, complete 65Ah through 230Ah golf cart kits, rugged 100Ah Elite batteries and a scalable 100Ah server-rack platform. Cycle-life ratings vary by model from 3,500+ to 6,000+ cycles, and every model currently shown in this collection carries an 11-year manufacturer warranty.
Moving to a native 48V lithium battery can simplify a compatible system in several important ways:
The representative graph below shows why a 48V lithium system can feel stronger later in the discharge. A 51.2V-nominal LiFePO4 pack remains near its working voltage through most of the cycle, while a 48V lead-acid bank loses voltage more progressively as stored capacity is used.
A 48V golf cart battery is a popular upgrade for compatible Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha and other modern cart platforms. Epoch complete kits combine the battery with a lithium charger, dashboard gauge, 48V-to-12V converter and configuration-specific mounting components. Options range from the lightweight 48V 65Ah kit to 105Ah, 150Ah and 230Ah systems for longer-range or higher-demand builds.
“Drop-in” describes easier physical fitment, not universal electrical compatibility. Verify nominal voltage, battery-tray dimensions, controller and motor current, regenerative-braking limits, cable routing, charger installation, accessory power and any Club Car onboard-computer requirements before completing a 48 volt lithium golf cart conversion.
A 48V off-grid solar battery is well suited to large inverter systems because higher voltage reduces DC current for the same wattage. A 5,000W load is approximately 98A at 51.2V before conversion losses, compared with about 391A at 12.8V. Lower current can reduce voltage drop, cable heating and conductor-size requirements when the entire system is designed correctly.
Epoch's 48V 100Ah V2 Elite battery stores 5.12kWh, supports 150A continuous output and provides native Victron CANbus communication for compatible GX systems. The 48V 100Ah server-rack battery also stores 5.12kWh and supports CAN/RS485 communication with configured inverter ecosystems. A 48V build normally needs DC converters for appliances designed only for 12V or 24V.
Selected electric outboards and propulsion platforms operate on 48V battery power, making a 48V marine lithium battery useful for correctly engineered boats. Confirm the motor's operating-voltage window, continuous and peak current, communication requirements, emergency disconnect, charger and manufacturer battery guidance. A matching voltage alone does not guarantee compatibility with every outboard or trolling system.
The 48V 30Ah GC2 battery stores 1.54kWh, weighs approximately 33 pounds and supports 60A continuous discharge. It is designed for light-duty use or modular parallel banks. Epoch lists support for up to ten matched units in parallel, allowing 60Ah, 90Ah, 120Ah and larger configurations while retaining a familiar GC2-style footprint.
The 65Ah complete kit stores approximately 3.33kWh, weighs 66 pounds and supports 200A continuous discharge. In many stock or mildly upgraded carts, Epoch estimates approximately 25 to 35 miles per charge under normal conditions. Actual range varies with terrain, passenger load, tire size, lift height, controller settings, speed, temperature and driving style.
A 48V 100Ah lithium battery stores approximately 5.12kWh and is a practical starting point for solar, marine, RV and high-power inverter systems. For golf carts, Epoch's 48V 105Ah complete kit stores approximately 5.38kWh, weighs 99 pounds and supports 200A continuous output. Many standard carts may see an estimated 35 to 45+ miles per charge, subject to vehicle setup and conditions.
The 150Ah golf cart kit stores approximately 7.68kWh and supports 300A continuous output, while the 230Ah kit stores approximately 11.78kWh with the same 300A continuous rating. These larger options suit compatible lifted carts, passenger vehicles, utility use and other applications with substantial energy demands.
Parallel limits vary significantly by product. Current golf cart kits commonly allow two matched batteries in parallel, the 30Ah GC2 platform allows up to ten, the V2 Elite supports up to sixteen and the server-rack model supports up to thirty-two. Follow the exact manual for matched-battery requirements, busbars, fusing, communication wiring and charger sizing.

Game changer for my boat in Palmas - 48V offshore power
Installed this 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite on my own boat in Palmas del Mar, Humacao PR. This is not a customer job - this is my personal off-grid setup. Running full Victron system with it. The Bluetooth monitoring is solid, the internal heater works perfect not for us in the carribean but for those cold fronts, and the build quality is true marine grade. No more generator at anchor. Holds voltage like a rock under heavy inverter load. Epoch support and warranty is local to me which matters in PR. Highly recommend for any serious marine 48V build. 5 stars - will be ordering a second one
Hustler Zeon zero turn lawnmower
My project was to convert my 48V Hustler Zeon mower from Lead-acid to Lithium Batteries. After reviewing the Epoch batteries online and speaking with a sales-person, I found that the Epoch Mini was a good fit for the existing battery compartment size. Upon receiving the kit, I found that the length and width left me with room for the charger to be mounted adjacent to the battery. The only "hold-my-breath" moment came when it looked as though the height might be a problem because the cover for the battery compartment is the seat. Upon lowering the seat, I found that the clearance is about 1/2". I completed the battery, charger port, gauge and start button install and was delighted at the outcome. Because I have another mower, I have yet to put it to the endurance test. The only issue that I have is with the 48V to 12V converter. I am not sure how to hook it up. but since I have no 12V accessories on the mower, it is not that important. Thank you for your assistance in completing my project successfully.
48v 65ah
The customer love the battery. And thought the installation, very professional.
51V 105ah installed 7/2026
Awesome power. Holds charge. No worries about running out of juice like the Lead Acid.
So far so good.
I bought the 48v 230ah Golf Battery for another purpose than a Golf Cart, for its compact design and 11,776 watts per hour. Using a MultiPlus II for its charging and power consumption, the Epoch battery has been running great.
Great Battery!
This is a great battery! Installation was very simple. Now we have no maintenance to speak of, the cart is lighter and much faster.
