Old lead-acid batteries can turn golf cart ownership into a cycle of slow charging, water checks, corroded terminals, acid cleanup and steadily declining performance. Epoch lithium golf cart batteries replace that bulky battery bank with a cleaner, lighter LiFePO4 power system designed to keep your cart responsive throughout its usable charge.
Whether you are playing an 18-hole round, cruising the neighborhood, carrying passengers in a lifted cart, working around a property or taking a hunting cart off-road, an Epoch LiFePO4 golf cart battery provides dependable energy without the routine upkeep required by flooded lead-acid batteries.
Our collection includes complete 36V, 48V and 72V lithium golf cart battery systems for classic carts, modern neighborhood cruisers, long-range builds and high-output custom applications. Start by choosing the voltage that matches your cart, then select the amp-hour capacity that fits your typical driving distance, terrain, passenger load and performance upgrades.
A golf cart lithium conversion kit may cost more upfront than a basic lead-acid replacement, but it can deliver significant long-term value along with a much cleaner and more convenient ownership experience.
Choosing the correct voltage is one of the most important steps when learning how to convert a golf cart to lithium. Your new battery must match the voltage class of the cart unless the motor, controller and other electrical components are being replaced as part of a properly engineered voltage conversion.
A 36V lithium golf cart battery is a natural upgrade for many older and classic carts, including compatible EZGO TXT and Club Car DS configurations. Epoch's 36V complete kit combines a 105Ah LiFePO4 battery with a dedicated lithium charger, dashboard battery gauge and 12V converter, creating a simpler path away from a heavy, multi-battery lead-acid bank.
Battery voltage must match the cart's electrical system. A 48V battery is not a plug-and-play replacement for a 36V cart. Converting a cart to a higher voltage requires the motor, controller, solenoid, wiring, charger and accessories to be evaluated and, where necessary, upgraded for the new voltage.
A 48V lithium golf cart battery is a popular choice for many modern golf carts, neighborhood vehicles and utility builds. Epoch currently offers complete 48V kits in several capacities, including 65Ah, 105Ah, 150Ah and 230Ah, allowing you to match the battery to your expected range and performance needs.
The 65Ah kit is well suited to golf-course use, neighborhood cruising, campgrounds and everyday transportation. In stock or mildly upgraded carts, it may provide approximately 25 to 35 miles per charge under normal conditions. The 105Ah kit is designed for longer trips and may provide approximately 35 to 45 or more miles per charge in many standard carts.
Actual range varies according to terrain, tire size, lift height, controller settings, speed, temperature, vehicle weight, passenger load and driving style. Higher-capacity batteries may be a better choice for lifted carts, larger tires, frequent passenger use, steep terrain or extended-distance driving.
A 72V lithium golf cart battery is intended for properly configured high-demand carts and performance builds. It can be a strong choice for compatible 72V platforms, heavily lifted carts, six-passenger vehicles, electric utility vehicles and custom carts using high-output motor and controller packages.
Epoch's 70.4V nominal 72V 105Ah complete kit is engineered for demanding continuous and peak-power requirements. However, a 72V battery should never be treated as a simple voltage upgrade for a lower-voltage cart. The motor, controller, solenoid, cables, charging equipment, accessories and overall drivetrain must all be confirmed for 72V operation before installation.
A drop-in lithium golf cart battery is engineered to fit within the factory battery-tray area with significantly less fabrication than a fully custom battery build. Epoch offers configuration-specific golf cart lithium conversion kits for popular platforms, including compatible EZGO TXT and RXV, Club Car DS, Precedent and Onward, and Yamaha Drive and Drive2-style carts.
“Drop-in” does not mean universal. Model year, battery-tray dimensions, cable routing, controller demand, onboard-computer requirements and accessory wiring can differ even between carts from the same manufacturer. Some Club Car systems may require an onboard-computer bypass, while Club Car DS owners should select the appropriate Mini battery configuration where specified.
Always select the correct cart configuration and verify battery-bay measurements, electrical requirements, mounting clearances and controller demands before ordering. Heavily modified carts may also require a higher-capacity battery or a battery with greater continuous-discharge capability.
Kit contents vary by battery and configuration, but Epoch's complete-kit options include the LiFePO4 battery, a dedicated lithium charger, a dashboard state-of-charge gauge and a 12V step-down converter. Applicable configurations also include cart-specific mounting hardware. This complete ecosystem removes much of the guesswork from an EZGO lithium battery upgrade, Club Car lithium battery conversion or Yamaha golf cart lithium conversion.
Epoch golf cart batteries use LiFePO4, or lithium iron phosphate, a chemistry known for strong thermal and chemical stability. It offers a safer foundation for demanding vehicle applications than many older cobalt-based lithium-ion chemistries.
Each battery also incorporates an advanced Battery Management System that acts as the control center of the pack. The BMS monitors operating conditions and provides protection against overcharging, excessive discharge, overcurrent, short circuits and unsafe temperatures.
Bluetooth monitoring provides a clearer view of state of charge, voltage, current, temperature and battery status from a compatible iOS or Android phone. The included dashboard gauge keeps essential charge information visible while you drive, eliminating much of the guesswork associated with traditional voltage-only lead-acid meters.
Epoch's complete lithium golf cart battery kits also feature IP67-rated enclosures designed to protect the battery and BMS against dust, rain, splashes and temporary water exposure. IP67 construction does not eliminate the need for proper installation. The battery should still be securely mounted, correctly wired, protected against physical damage and charged using compatible LiFePO4 equipment.
Every golf cart battery model shown in the collection is backed by Epoch's 11-year manufacturer warranty and U.S.-based expert support. Choose the correct voltage, compare amp-hour capacity and complete your lithium conversion with a system built for lower weight, steadier power and years of maintenance-free battery ownership.
